What a glorious and stupendous Memorial Day Weekend. If you traced a path of where we went this weekend you might just end up with a map that looked like a spirograph gone wrong. Highport to Sunset to Catfish to Jerry Cove to Sand bass to some other cove and then to Treasure. All at a blazing speed of 5. One of the best weekends in quite some time and getting to see some faces I haven't seen a while was a nice treat and a great pleasure seeing them all. Looks like after a full year of high water and a shakey start, the lake is on track for a excellent summer. If we could just get gas prices to drop we would be in great shape. Do you think if we took turns towing each other we could save on gas? June-19 - Juneteenth (Milwaukee, Wisconsin & Texas) June-28 - World War 1 Day

THE BOWLINE KNOT
Every boater should know this knot, no excuses. It is the most useful knot to know. The beauty of this knot is that it is a self tighnening knot. So the harder you pull on it, the tighter it gets. When the tension is released, it is a sinch to undo. Among many other uses, it is the best knot for towing, short of having a clip. View the video CURRENT MOON The rotation of the moon—the time it takes to spin once around on its own axis—takes the same amount of time as the moon takes to complete one orbit of the Earth, about 27.3 days. This means the moon's rotation is synchronized in a way that causes the moon to show the same face to the Earth at all times. One hemisphere always faces us, while the other always faces away. The lunar far side (aka the dark side) has been photographed only from spacecraft.
